How Many Enantiomers Can Any Chiral Compound Have? [Solved]
As a general rule, for a compound that has n chirality centers, the maximum number of stereoisomers for that compound is 2n. The four stereoisomers of 2-bromo-3-chlorobutane consist of two pairs of enantiomers. Stereoisomers A and B are a pair of non-superimposable mirror images, so they are enantiomers.
